How Do My Customers See Their Service History From Two Locations?
If your customer visits multiple locations of your shop, their service history will only appear for the location their subscriber account is currently linked to.
This limitation is due to how the database hierarchy works.
Each subscriber account (customer app login) can only be linked to one store at a time.
🔍 Why This Happens
A subscriber account is tied to a single SMS Customer ID, which exists only within one store’s database.
This means:
-
Service records from Store A and Store B cannot be merged.
-
The customer can only view service history from the store their subscriber account is currently linked to.
-
Even if the same customer has visited multiple locations, the app will only display the history for one store at a time.
🔄 Workaround (View Both Stores)
Customers can view service history from each location, but it requires separate subscriber accounts:
-
Sign out of the current store in the app
-
Select the other store/location
-
Create a new subscriber account for that location
-
Repeat these steps to switch between stores
While this process allows them to access records at both stores, it does require separate logins and does not merge the data into a single history.
🧾 Summary
-
Currently, customers cannot view combined service history across multiple locations.
-
Each subscriber account connects to one store only.
-
To view history from different stores, the customer must sign in and out between separate subscriber accounts.
