User Types & Permissions: Admin, Staff, and Call Center Users
AppFueled offers three different user types—Admin, Staff, and Call Center—each designed for specific roles and responsibilities.

What Admin Users Can Do
Admin users have full backend access and control system-wide settings, including:

Platform configuration and system settings

Billing and account management

Memberships, deals, coupons

Templates, automations, and marketing blasts

User creation and permissions

Locations and integrations
Who Should Be Admin Users
Admin access should be limited to:
- Owners
- Marketing managers
- Executive or leadership roles
⚠️ Best practice: Do not give Admin access to front-line staff.

What Staff Users Can Do
Staff users have access to the 2-Way Portal and are typically customer-facing roles.
Staff users can:
- Send and receive texts
- Make and receive calls (if authorized)
- Manage tasks and follow-ups
- Communicate with customers
Staff user credentials can also be used to:
- Log into the AppFueled mobile app
- Log into the Sidekick Ninja Chrome Extension
⚠️ Important Compatibility Note:
Sidekick Ninja is only compatible with Tekmetric. Other SMS platforms are not supported.
Location Access
- Staff users are limited to one location
- If staff need access to multiple locations, you must:
- Create a Call Center user, or
- Create multiple Staff user accounts
📌 If you choose to create multiple staff users for the same person, you do not need multiple email addresses.
Instead, AppFueled uses email aliasing:
- test@appfueled.com
- test+1@appfueled.com
- test+2@appfueled.com
Calling Cost Consideration
If you want staff users to make calls please note the following pricing:
Unless you are on the Call Center Suite Plan:
- The first Staff user with inbound/outbound calling is included
- Each additional Staff user authorized for calling is $50/month per user

What Call Center Users Can Do
Call Center users also access the 2-Way Portal, but are designed for:
- Multi-location access
- High-volume inbound and outbound calling
- Centralized call handling
Call Center users:
- Can toggle between multiple locations
- Can handle calls for multiple shops under one login
- Are ideal for BDCs, reception teams, or centralized call centers
Important Limitations
Call Center users cannot:
- Log into the AppFueled mobile app
- Use the Sidekick Ninja Chrome Extension
Plan Requirement
To request a call center user(s), your account must be on the Call Center Suite Plan.
