# Why Am I Seeing Multiple Customer Records for the Same Customer?

## Duplicate customer records in AppFueled are typically caused by duplicate profiles in your SMS.

#### 🔍 **Why This Happens**

there are two tabs within the profile: the **Customer Record** and the **Subscriber Record**.

AppFueled receives customer record directly from your SMS. If multiple customer records exist with the same information, this typically means there are **duplicate customer profiles in your SMS**.

Merge the duplicate customer records directly within your SMS. Doing so will consolidate the customer data in both your SMS and AppFueled.
