Why does my AppFueled Number Have No Caller ID?
Caller ID
☎️ AppFueled Phone Number Doesn’t Display with Caller ID
When your AppFueled phone number makes outbound calls, the caller ID name (CNAM) may not always appear for the recipient.
This is because AppFueled provides phone number functionality through a trusted third-party service, Twilio.
🧩 Why Caller ID May Not Display
Twilio explains:
“Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to guarantee that CNAM will display for all carriers. While Twilio updates the CNAM (caller name) information in the national Line Information Databases (LIDB), each carrier decides whether to query these databases and how often they update their records.
Some carriers may not subscribe to every CNAM database, and others may have their own policies or delays in updating caller name information.
This means that, even with everything set up correctly on Twilio’s side, the display of your business name can vary depending on the recipient’s carrier and device.”
⚙️ What This Means for Your Shop
-
Your AppFueled phone number will still function normally for calls and texts.
-
The business name display depends on the recipient’s carrier and device settings, not AppFueled or Twilio.
-
CNAM updates can take time or may not appear for certain customers, even when configured correctly.
